The ASCJ Executive Committee established the Linda Grove Graduate Paper Prize in order to honor an esteemed colleague who has greatly contributed to scholarship on Asia and to the ASCJ.

Linda Grove Graduate Paper Competition details and guidelines

Prize:

• 30,000 yen
• Consideration for inclusion in a panel at the Association for Asian
  Studies Annual Conference
• One-year membership to the AAS

Eligibility

• Graduate students pursuing a graduate degree at a Japan-based university
• Author of a paper (either individual or panel) accepted for presentation at the annual ASCJ Conference

Editorial Guidelines

Title page: Student Name, Status (e.g. PhD 3rd year)
Name of University, Primary Advisor’s Name

Full paper (approx. 8,000–10,000 words) corresponding to the long version of the presentation. The format of the paper should follow the conventions of the discipline.
