ASCJ is an interdisciplinary scholarly organization dedicated to the study of Asia. Since 1997, we have held an annual conference in Tokyo, one of the leading capitals of East Asia. The conference offers a stimulating environment for intellectual exchange on a wide range of topics and themes, and we welcome scholars from around the world to participate.

The deadline for submitting proposals for the 2026 conference has now passed. (The deadline was October 31.)
The Executive Committee thanks everyone who submitted a panel, individual paper, or round table proposal. The Committee will begin the review and selection process, and notifications of the results are scheduled for early January.

The Calendar page has been updated with the 2026 Conference schedule.
